The Benin Kingdom Gallery opened to much fanfare and after taking a look at some of the amazing works on display it is easy to understand why. Visitors to this gallery will see bronze and ivory sculptures along with ritual objects and other treasures.

While this newest addition alone is worthy of a visit there is much more to see at the Museum of Fine Arts. The collection of American works is truly extraordinary. Among the many pieces are works by Copley, Homer and Sargent. A 1796 portrait of George Washington, which was painted by Gilbert Stuart, is among the treasures.

This Boston Attraction is also home to the largest collection of Japanese art outside of the country of Japan. This amazing collection includes, among other things, more than 5,000 examples of Japanese pottery. The Egyptian collection is impressive as well and includes sarcophagi and other ancient artifacts.
