In honor of National Espresso Day, Pairings Restaurant at The Boston Park Plaza Hotel & Towers is honoring this holiday of sorts with free bottomless cups of espresso after purchase of the first cup. In the midst of one of the busiest weeks of the year and Thanksgiving on the horizon, you can indulge in all the high-powered java your body can handle on Tuesday, November 23rd.
Patrons who stop into Pairings Restaurant and leave their email on National Espresso Day and purchase the endless cup of espresso will also be entered to win a free espresso machine.
Why does such a small drink like espresso deserve its own holiday? The first espresso machine was invented in 1901 by Luigi Bezzera as a way to increase employee productivity and decrease coffee break time. Espresso has more caffeine per volume than regular coffee, and it can be made a lot quicker as it takes about thirty seconds to brew. Espresso is the foundation of popular drinks such as cappuccinos and lattes.
