There is an old saying that goes, “Everyone in Boston is Irish on St. Patrick’s Day.” When you see the extent to which the city celebrates this holiday, it’s easy to understand why everyone wants to be a part of it! The St. Patrick’s Day Parade, a Boston Event that takes place in South Boston, is a huge Event that draws both locals and visitors.

There are many Things to do in Boston on St. Patrick’s Day, but each year about 600,000 spectators line the streets of South Boston to see the floats, military, police and fire units, bands and more make their way down the parade route.
This Boston Event doesn’t begin until 1 p.m., but spectators start claiming the best spots along the routes much earlier. Many of the parade-goers get dressed for the occasion wearing green, funny hats and other attire that pays homage to the holiday.
