Visiting the New England Aquarium is one of the many popular Things to do in Boston. Visitors of all ages love this Boston Attraction.
About the New England Aquarium:
The New England Aquarium is a Boston Attraction that has been delighting visitors since it first opened in 1969. When the Aquarium’s gigantic 200,000 gallon tank was built, it was the largest in the world. While it no longer holds that title, a recent renovation has made the New England Aquarium one of the best in the country.
The Giant Ocean Tank underwent a makeover that was only recently completed. While the tank was always the centerpiece of this Boston Attraction, the $17.8 million makeover has made it even more fun for visitors. The tank is home to many creatures including fish, sharks and a 90-year-old sea turtle named Myrtle.
Visitors can also enjoy seeing several other exhibits featuring sea life and mammals from around the world. The IMAX Theatre is another highlight of a visit to this Boston Attraction. Whale and dolphin watch excursions are also offered by the New England Aquarium.
Guests at The Boston Park Plaza Hotel can enjoy this and other nearby Boston Attractions.
