Boston is a city rich in history, and that includes naval history. Visit the USS Constitution – the oldest commissioned warship in the U.S. Navy’s fleet.
About the USS Constitution:
Of all the Things to do in Boston, a visit to the USS Constitution is, in many ways, one of the most unique. Not only does a visit to this Boston Attraction allow you to step back in history, but it also provides a look at what is, perhaps, the most unique job post for a navy sailor.
What other navy job requires donning the same uniform that would have been worn in the early 19th century? The crew that is stationed onboard this historic vessel are full-time sailors who split their time between the present day and the past.
Visitors to this popular Boston Attraction will be led on a guided Tour through much of the ship. With an actual sailor as your Tour guide, you will learn about the history of this great ship and about what life was like onboard during the earliest of the ship’s journeys.
During your next stay at The Boston Park Plaza Hotel – A Boston Hotel, pay a visit to the USS Constitution and learn how this ship that is now a Boston Attraction played a role in the history of this nation.
