Boston Park Plaza completed phase one and phase two of the property’s renovation. Located at 50 Park Plaza in Boston, the property first opened its doors as the Statler Hotel on March 10, 1927. Situated on the grounds where the British troops embarked for the Battle of Lexington, the Boston Park Plaza is in the middle of a $100-million renovation and restoration project.

The Boston Park Plaza has a new restaurant: Off the Common opened on Friday (50 Park Plaza at Arlington Street) for breakfast, lunch, and dinner with a seafood-centric menu: lobster Benedict in the morning and clam chowder, pan-roasted mussels, and baked local cod loin at lunch and dinner. It replaces the Statler Lounge.

Located in the former Whiskey Park space in the Park Plaza Hotel, Strip by Strega will have a menu similar to sibling Strega Prime out in Woburn, according to previous reports. Strega Prime offers steaks ranging from a 12-ounce New York sirloin ($26) up to a bone-in 28-ounce Delmonico ($59), along with pastas, a variety of Italian-inspired seafood entrees, and more.

In case you don’t already know, David Barton Gym signed a long-term lease for a 19,000-square-foot space inside the Park Plaza Hotel that will finally bring the club to Boston. In fact, it’ll be the gym’s first location in Massachusetts. Construction has been underway for some time now, and the new spot is slated to open in January.
