With the holiday season approaching, Boston Park Plaza is happy to suggest the top holiday theatre shows to experience during this time of year.
Colonial Theatre is located on Boylston Street, across from the Boston Common graveyard. The Colonial Theatre was recently reopened in July 2018, following a major renovation and restoration.
This season, enjoy a modern twist on the fairytale classic, Cinderella. Rodgers + Hammerstein’s Cinderella story combines traditional story elements with a contemporary flare. In this version of the original fairytale, Cinderella is passionate and determined to make the world a better place, despite her miserable home life. A family-friendly show accompanied with music by Richard Rodgers and lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II. Performances at the iconic Colonial Theatre from December 18th-30th.

The Boston Ballet performs at the Boston Opera House in Downtown Crossing. For 42 years, the Boston Ballet company has performed The Nutcracker. The Nutcracker story, based on the classic novel by E.T.A. Hoffman, follows Clara through her holiday journey after receiving a magical Nutcracker. Watch as Clara’s Nutcracker comes alive and experience the magic of the holiday’s with your family and friends this winter season.
